This 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is currently undergoing a full frame-off restoration, with completion expected by August 2025. Designed with the spirit of the American Southwest in mind, this build fuses classic Land Cruiser toughness with a distinctly nostalgic aesthetic.

Finished in a soft desert beige with bold retro-inspired Canyon Cruiser decals, the truck captures the optimism of 1970s off-road travel. A chocolate brown soft top, steel wheels, and a clean, purposeful stance ground it in tradition, while subtle upgrades throughout enhance comfort and drivability.

Inside, the design will echo the exterior’s warm tones, with handcrafted leather upholstery, modern sound insulation, and a thoughtfully restored dash. The original Toyota inline-6 engine and 4-speed manual transmission are being fully rebuilt, ensuring this truck performs as good as it looks—on trails or on display.
