This bold reinterpretation of the 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 pays tribute to the legendary GULF livery—an icon of motorsport history—through a rugged, off-road-ready design that’s equal parts performance and nostalgia.

Finished in classic blue and orange, the GULF Edition stands out with a striking presence and purpose-built attitude. A custom roof rack with integrated cargo mounts and six rally-style lights crowns the truck, while bespoke front and rear bumpers, side steps, and black steel wheels ground the vehicle in modern overlanding capability.

Inside, the FJ40 is equipped with upgraded seating, refined materials, and LED lighting for a clean, contemporary cabin experience. While the visual language nods to endurance racing, the mechanical setup remains faithful to the Land Cruiser’s roots—reliable, capable, and made to go anywhere.

 

Designed by an architect with a passion for motorsport heritage and off-road exploration, this build is currently under way and will be completed by August 2025. The GULF Edition isn’t just a tribute—it’s a fully reimagined off-roader, crafted for those who appreciate legacy, precision, and bold design.
